In this age of digitalization, Pakistan may have been late, but it is finally catching up at a fast pace. The GOP (Government of Pakistan) has successfully digitized many processes in several departments to provide convenience to citizens. These digital services include traffic challan payments, motor vehicle registration, ID card registration/modification, land record checks, and tax payments. While many of these services are now available for all the provinces, Balochistan still needs to catch up.
One of the activities that citizens have to perform is the payment of motor taxes. Provincial governments levy motor taxes at the time of registration and transfer and for owning locomotives such as cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, etc. The provincial revenue departments have made their departments online to facilitate people. You can get helpful information from the websites, ask questions, and pay your vehicle tax online on these websites. If you have visited your local excise & taxation department, you will know why online tax payment is a blessing. Long queues at vehicle tax counters consume all your time and energy. Moreover, getting information in such crowded offices can be extremely difficult. You can now say goodbye to all that hassle.
The websites of all four provinces have clear, detailed guides and helpful links that can provide valuable information, detailed guides, and several helpful links. Online payment of vehicles and other taxes requires the generation of a PSID number (Payment Slip ID) which can then be used to pay these taxes using several methods. Currently, the option for generating the PSID online is available for Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, and KPK. However, the Balochistan government still has to develop an online option for generating the PSID.
